Residents of Berkley real estate are served by the Berkley Unified School District. Oakland is the location of the main campus of the University of California Berkley. Bay Area Technology School and Berkley City College are two more options for students in the Oakland area. Berkley hosts a variety of annual events including the Jewish Music Festival, Berkley Arts Festival, the Himalayan Fair, Berkley Kite Festival and the Solano Avenue Stroll.

The historic commercial center of Berkley is west of San Pablo Avenue and contains many retail and office spaces as well as residential lofts. Residents enjoy a host of entertainment options including Aquatic Park, a number of parks, art galleries, the steam train rides at Tilden Regional Park, Shorebird Park Nature Center and many more. With a population of 112,580, the city provides an attractive option for families, retirees and young professionals as well as others.
