Union City real estate is located in Alameda County, California. The city was incorporated in 1959 and was the first county seat of Alameda. The site of the original courthouse is a California Historical Landmark. The first community in Union City was founded in 1850 and it was also called Union City. The merger of this community and another nearby community, New Haven formed the town, Alvarado. The town along with another town, Decoto were annexed by the communities of Newark, Hayward and what is today Fremont and this resulted in the current Union City.
